This site is for bears, hairy men and their admirers! A bear in this context is primarily defined as including facial hair. Body hair is of secondary consideration. Facial hair for the most part is able to be chosen whereas body hair is more dependent upon chances of nature!!

In this context, BA prefers to use the term "Admirer" rather than chaser! Chaser, as used by some cultures, suggests a sense of desperation. In the world of Bears Australia an Admirer is someone who likes those with facial and/or body hair!

In this context, body shape or size is not a determining factor in the definition of bear! A bear can be large or not... It´s all about hair and attitude! Being a Bear about being a real and authentic person. It´s not about being vain and shallow or having attitude! It´s about having pride in yourself and respect for other people, regardless of age, race, HIV status and/or bodyshape!

In this world, and we make no apology for this policy, If you can´t as a minimum demonstrate respect for other people, then you cannot be a bear and by extension you are not an admirer!
